Pashinyan emphasizes reform continuity post-election

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan chaired the first Cabinet meeting after the June 7 elections, emphasizing the continuation of reforms in the current term and after forming the next government. Pashinyan’s Civil Contract party won a majority of seats in the next parliament in the June 7 polls.

Speaking at the Cabinet meeting, Pashinyan stated that his administration’s objective is to continue building a new-quality state and ensuring the country’s progress. He highlighted that the state is a means to ensure the security, well-being, and freedom of the person and the citizen, and that actions should align with that logic. The development of the next draft Government program will begin, which must be approved by the National Assembly after the formation of the new Government.
